I bought this because my old case let my iPad shatter completely. I feel very comfortable with this case. The system for reading in a horizontal position is good but not great.
The only complaint I had was their instructions for equipping it for the first time are very bad. As slick or slippery as the iPad is when it comes out of the box, this is almost a must in my opinion. The only downside to the case is that the rubber back panel loses a little of it's rigidity after a year or so.
You definitely don't want to leave the device in direct sunlight as this will accelerate the process. The case will still do it's job of protecting the device but the flexing of the material can be a distraction.
Absolutely the best case out there. I have the same one for my iPhone because I tend to drop it frequently. Highly recommend this case if you tend to drop things. I've always been happy with OtterBox Products. This is the brand I usually purchase to protect my cell phones and tablets. It's the only way to really protect your phones and I pads.
